I was the friend of the little girl Latonya Wallace. We use to walk to school together everyday. I also attended the same karate class as her. She lived on Druid hill I lived on lake view. She was about 10 or 11 and I was maybe 9 and until this day the look of her body in that casket still haunts me. We all knew Willy the fish man did that to her. I remember the detective’s coming to my house and taking my older girl cousin and I for questioning. I was so young and her death was so horrible, I was in so much fear and afraid back then.
Watching The Wire while living and working in Brussels, Belgium, particularly with the current Ukraine conflict, offers a really interesting framework for understanding how inequality in Brussels can demonstrate larger EU issues and how easily we ignore the preconditioned roles we play. Next show, please consider Brussels as a potential main character!

Just wondering if Homicide: Life on the Streets was ever going to be digitally re-mastered and made for Blu-Ray? I know it’s probably a long shot..but I’d definitely purchase it!
